Frequent Questions

Do your garden beds have bottoms?

All of the beds that rest directly on the ground do not have bottoms, place card board, dry leaves, garden cloth on the ground and cover with dirt. If ground burrowing animals are problem we can cut chicken wire to lay down.  We do sell elevated beds that have bottoms if you desire.

Is it safe to grow food in treated lumber?

This has been answered both ways, we follow the manufactures material safety sheet and say NO! All of our beds have either tin or cedar between the treated wood and soil.

How long will the beds last?

Our first treated and tin bed was built over 5 years ago this spring and still looks the same as the day it was built. 2013

As far as the cedar goes we have all seen cedar fences that have stood the test of time, we recommend sealing the cedar after purchasing and as needed going forward. We can seal it for you if you like.

Do you deliver?

Yes we deliver, .50 cents a mile one way. You can pickup if you are able, we will load and assist you in securing the load.

Are the beds already built?

No we build as ordered, usually two days before your bed can be ready.

Can I paint the beds?
